We understand many of you will be concerned about the current ‘work to rule’ action being taken nationally by GP Surgeries – you may have seen this be reported as ‘industrial action’ by some news outlets.
We wanted to reassure all patients that whilst we support the notion of increased GP surgery funding which the action is seeking to achieve, we will not be taking any action that could result in a detriment to patient care. This includes actions such as capping appointments. We will only take actions that prevent work being given to us that should be done by others in the system .
We hope that the new government continues its steps towards returning good funding to the NHS and that this will be resolved soon.
However, we wanted again to reassure you that you should see no impact on the services we provide to you and this will remain our stance.
